Meet Sheridan! When Sheridan found her way into the rescue she was thin and emaciated. She has been settling into her Texas foster home and receiving some much-needed TLC! One thing you'll quickly notice about Sheridan is her intense love for food. She's so eager to eat that she inhales her meals in record time. To help her slow down and enjoy her food more, her Texas foster parent uses a special dog bowl designed to help dogs slow down when they eat and separates her from other during feeding time. Recently, Sheridan's foster parent discovered that she's very fearful of storms. The loud thunder sent her into a panic, causing her to break out of her crate in search of safety and comfort. Now that this is known, there are many ways to help her feel more safe and comfortable during storms, including something called a thundershirt! Sheridan has many favorite parts of the day. As mentioned, Mealtime is definitely at the top of her list, she also enjoy sitting in her loved ones laps, playing with toys and she enjoys having the freedom of using the doggie door to go in and out as she pleases. While she will go into her kennel, she would much prefer to be out and about in the house, hanging out with her humans! Sheridan has some quirks that make her unique like the funny moaning sounds she makes. She is only 1 year old and still has some puppy tendencies that require patience and supervision. She's prone to chewing on things if left unsupervised, and her intense focus on food means she'll dig in the trash or counter surf if given the chance. Sheridan has not been introduced to children or cats. Sheridan is from Texas. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
