Other: Neutered Male, Vaccinations current, Microchip Grayson is a distinguished little gentleman ready for a fresh start Foster Home Feedback 3/15/24 Foster Feedback: Grayson is Mr. Personality! He has the cutest underbite and such a playful personality. He moved in with us a couple weeks ago and we are slowly figuring out what might be the best living situation for this special dude. He bonded instantly with me (mom) and thinks the sun rises and sets by whatever I'm doing. I think he will need a female primary caretaker in his new home as he takes much longer to open up to males. My husband can pet him if I am also petting him, otherwise he just co-exists around him and doesn't want much to do with him yet. He behaves similarly with my kids (2 and 5yrs old). He has never been aggressive towards them (they also gave him lots of space initially) and will occasionally let them touch him but doesn't seek them out for attention. I think a family with young children would be disappointed by his lack of interest if they are hoping for a dog to play with. Grayson was previously potty pad trained and has transitioned to pottying outside very well. He had a few accidents initially but now follows our other dogs outside and does great when let outside every few hours. He LOVES playing fetch with a ball or stuffie and doing zoomies around the backyard. He walks well on a leash and enjoys his outings around the neighborhood. He also does well in the car. He has been sleeping in his kennel quietly at night but I think he would really love to sleep in bed at night with his person. He snuggles in so nicely for little naps. We are just trying to set him up for whatever his new family might prefer. Grayson attended a rescue obedience class last week and practiced meeting new people. He did great! He took treats nicely from all his new "friends" and tried to be a brave boy. He is nervous of new people and situations but with patience he realizes nothing bad is going to happen to him. Thankfully he LOVES treats and it helps him warm up a bit more quickly. He is living with two dogs and shares toys and treats nicely with them and previously lived with a cat. Grayson is going to take a special family that will give him the time to come out of his shell. It took him about a week to let his guard down in our home and I'm guessing it will be a similar situation in his new home. Grayson is a really sweet, funny boy when he has chosen you as his person.
