Meet Crayola

_________ B I O ______________  Name: Crayola Size: Medium range: 26-60 lbs  Adoption Donation: $250 (applicable sales tax included)  Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check.   Other:  Neutered Male, Vaccinations current, Microchip, No Cats    Crayola is looking to add a little color to your life   Foster Home Feedback  **  NO CATS Foster Feedback 3/31/24: I have only had this little man for four days now and I can already tell Crayola is going to be a stellar dog for someone.  He walks near perfect on a loose leash and does not beg at the table.  He is so gentle when taking treats or getting on/off the couch, smart, sweet, calm, and QUIET.  He has barked a grand total of once since he's been here and moves around like a ninja - sometimes I don't even know he's in the room until I bump into him.  Crayola is definitely still a puppy; he has been very good about only chewing on bones and toys, but sometimes he gets excited and will start mouthing a pillow or blanket, or sniffing a little too aggressively at a plant, but he takes correction very well and has not bothered any houseplants since. :) I think the capacity for mischief is still there, but if you can keep your items picked up/ put away you will not have problems.  We are still working on potty training- he had several accidents in the first few days but he has already come so far.  I take him outside regularly and he gets a treat for doing the deed, so he knows right away what I'm asking for when I tell him to potty.  Crayola also does not like the crate - I can coax him in with treats but if I try to feed him in there he will not eat and just whine.  We'll keep working on it, but honestly I think this is going to be a dog you can leave loose in your house when you're not there.   He already sleeps in bed with me at night, no problems.  We are working on basic commands like sit and come, and he LOVES the dog door so he can sit on the deck in the sun and reign over the neighborhood whenever he wants, which he will do in perfect silence for hours.  Crayola gets along great with my resident pitbull - they enjoy fiddle-farting around here and there but overall I would describe Crayola as a low-energy dog.  He was initially described to me as shy, but he has eagerly greeted the new people he's met, so maybe the shyness was just new place jitters or perhaps he draws confidence from my other dog.  Crayola has the softest white fur you can imagine - he almost feels like a rabbit, AND he doesn't appear to shed.  He also loves a good docu-series - he actively watches television and it's hilarious. Overall, if you can deal with some light puppy proofing and training, Crayola is a fantastic dog who is only going to get better with time.  Don't sleep on this guy because someone is going to snap him up quick.
