$$150.00Ari is a lively, strong black lab mix who arrived on 3/8/2024 from the city pound, as he was held for the legal hold time and never claimed. We're guessing he's mixed with hound, at least, given some of his features. He's a lanky and athletic guy who loves the company of people. He's about a year old and has been fully vetted and chipped. His fee is $150. Ari does seem to have had some basic training but could use some work on basic leash skills. We do think he would do well with older kids and other dogs. Cats? We have no way of knowing. He will require consistent exercise and fun to keep him happy. Ari loves life! NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Be sure to check your emails for responses. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.
Adoption Process
Starts with written Application form which includes questions regarding housing situation (rent/own etc. renters require landlord approval), History of previous or current pets, Vet information, Animal housing information (cats must be indoors, dogs fenced yard etc.). Fees for Cat Adoptions are $50 (or $75 for two) Dogs vary based on breed, size, etc. Average is $125.
