Truly (who we have been calling Wally)is a special soul. He is not only working on basic commands, but he is also a quick learner and is eager to please. With a little patience and consistency, he will excel in his training. When it comes to outdoor activities, this dog is always up for an adventure. He absolutely loves going on walks, exploring new places, and sniffing all the interesting scents along the way. Whether it's a leisurely stroll or a more challenging hike, he will be by your side, wagging his tail with excitement. One of the remarkable qualities of this foster dog is that he is kennel trained. This means that he is comfortable and well-behaved when in a crate, which can come in handy for various situations, such as travel or when you need to leave him alone for a short period. Once he forms a bond with you, his love knows no bounds. He is incredibly affectionate and will shower you with kisses and snuggles. You will quickly become his favorite person, and he will eagerly seek your attention and companionship. However, it's important to note that he can be a bit timid around strangers. He may initially be apprehensive and take some time to warm up to new people. But with patience and positive experiences, he can learn to trust and feel more comfortable around unfamiliar faces. Despite his initial shyness, this foster dog is a lap dog at heart. He enjoys nothing more than curling up on your lap or snuggling close by while you relax. His presence will bring warmth and comfort to your life, and you will find solace in his gentle and loving nature. Overall, Truly is a delightful companion who is looking for a loving forever home. With his love for walks, kennel training, and affectionate nature, he will surely bring joy and happiness to the lives of his future family.
Adoption Process
Our adoption process includes an adoption application. After reviewing your application and contacting the vet and personal references, a meeting is scheduled between the potential adopter and the pet, in the foster's home or a neutral animal friendly place. If there are any resident animals within the home, it is required that they meet at this time. After the meeting, a home visit by one our representatives is REQUIRED prior to finalizing any adoption and we must meet all members of the household where the pet will be living sometime during the adoption process. 6 month post-adoption check in is completed.
