A Roast to Dexter Let’s raise a glass to Dexter—the dog who thinks fetch is a group activity where you chase the ball after he’s done admiring its roll. Dexter is the definition of "eager to please"… as long as “please” means jumping up to greet you like a pogo stick in love. To his credit, he’s making progress—he now considers not launching himself at you a valid option. Growth! He’s got commands down—sit, lay, kennel up—and if you’re not sure where he is, just turn around. He’s behind you. Or under you. Or on your lap. Personal space? Never met her. He’s a professional leaner, certified snuggle bug, and believes that if you’re vertical, you clearly need help staying upright—by him pressing his full weight into you. Dexter’s idea of play? Chewing a bone for hours or joyfully chasing a ball... that he has zero intention of returning. And let’s not forget his true passion: water. Hose, bottle, puddle—if it sprays or splashes, he’s there, chomping away like a hydration-obsessed shark. He doesn’t care for most toys, but give him a bone, a lap, and a squirt bottle, and he’s living his best life. He’s quiet in his kennel—unless you walk by, and then it’s thump-thump-thump: the sound of a tail powered by pure love. So here’s to Dexter—part shadow, part chaos, 100% cuddle monster. He may be a bit extra, but we wouldn't want him any other way. Cheers to the clingiest, happiest, ball-chasing-but-never-fetching boy we know! Dexter is from a local impound.
