Meet Buddy! This smart, energetic boy is full of potential and ready for an active, understanding home. He currently free-feeds without issue and is quiet around the house, making him a good candidate for apartment living—provided he gets plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and balanced. He was rescued from a filthy outdoor kennel with little to no prior training, but he’s already come a long way. He’s crate-trained, sleeps through the night, and is very food motivated, which makes continued training a breeze. He’s incredibly bright and has a natural herding drive, so structure and consistent guidance will be key as he continues to grow and learn. He loves to run around the yard, play fetch, and is absolutely obsessed with squeaky stuffed toys. He’s also great about having his feet and body wiped down after playtime. He plays well with other dogs and adores getting pets and attention from his people. While he does sometimes chase cats, he means no harm—just a bit of that playful, puppy energy coming through! He can play hard and still needs to learn some manners, but with the right mix of patience, activity, and positive reinforcement, he’s going to make a fantastic companion. Buddy is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
