Great River Rescue

Great River Rescue is a 501 (c)(3) private nonprofit organization founded in 1977. We are a no-kill animal shelter which rescues stray and unwanted companion animals. We provide quality care for those animals until a suitable home can be found. All animals are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Our goal is to reduce pet overpopulation and thereby end needless euthanasia. Our mission is to serve the best interest of the animals we strive to protect.

Meet Tula

Hi, I'm Tula! I'm a super sweet little gal who can be a little shy at first. I love to snuggle, be outside, play with other dogs, to give kisses, and just being around people. It's pretty hard to not fall in love with me, I'm pretty perfect! Despite being considered a puppy still, I am pretty mellow. I probably won't grow much more, and will likely even out at around 40-45lbs. It's likely I'm an aussie/border collie mix. Come adopt me!

Adoption Process
Dogs cost $175 and cats $75. Potential adopters must first apply to adopt a pet. There are no same day adoptions allowed unless someone travels from a great distance. If approved, the adopter signs an adoption contract and pays the adoption fee. Renters must provide proof from the landlord that they are allowed to have a pet.
