$150.00Trinity is a 2 month old border collie/rat terrier mix puppy who was surrendered with her two siblings. She is a bit shy at first but it doesn't last very long. Once she's comfy in her surroundings she becomes a typical lively and playful pup. She will be ready for a new home once she has received two of her three distemper/parvo combo vaccinations. Her remaining vet work will be coordinated by us as part of her adoption fee of $150. This includes her 3rd distemper/parvo vaccination, rabies vaccination when old enough, microchip, and spay surgery when old enough. Trinity is a mix of two pretty energetic and focused breeds. She will need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation as she matures. She will require good, basic training in all areas. She should be good with other dogs and is young enough to learn to behave with cats. She should be okay with older kids but might develop herding instincts as she matures. She needs a committed home in which she won't be left alone for long hours. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
Adoption Process
Starts with written Application form which includes questions regarding housing situation (rent/own etc. renters require landlord approval), History of previous or current pets, Vet information, Animal housing information (cats must be indoors, dogs fenced yard etc.). Fees for Cat Adoptions are $50 (or $75 for two) Dogs vary based on breed, size, etc. Average is $125.
