Humane Society of Swift County

We simply have a cell phone, 4 or 5 foster homes and up to this point advertise on Petfinder. Swift County has no other means to help the animal population in need. Many people in rural areas simply don't care much about animal welfare, so a few of us have to!

Meet Sharley

Sharley is a beautiful female yellow lab puppy.  Her coat is a lovely cream color.   She and her two sisters were apparently abandoned and had been on the run for some time, so nothing is known about their past.  Sharley is estimated by our vet to be about 7 months old.  All 3 pups were very cold, hungry and scared.  They will need special families that will give them lots of love, attention and gentle instruction.  They crave human attention, and we would love for them to become indoor family pets.  The have not had any instruction thus far but are smart and will learn quickly how to be good dogs.  Sharley is playful and affectionate.  She will need a companion animal, as she is very dependent on her sisters currently.  A home with a large fenced yard would be ideal for Sharley.  She has been spayed, has tested negative for heartworm, has been dewormed and is up to date on her shots thus far.  For more information on Sharley or to adopt her, please contact foster parents Steve and Debbie at 320-392-5649 (a land line).  Sharley's adoption fee is $275 plus tax ($293.91).

Adoption Process
We spay/neuter all of our adult pets before adoption. Adoption fees begin at $95 for dogs, but vary depending upon the desirability of the dog, purebreds, etc. Each foster home interviews and decides upon the adoptive families for the pet.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
