Meet Shandy- Arrives 5/23

This lovely young Lab mix, Shandy, is under 2 years old and has already known the challenges of motherhood far too soon. She came into the shelter with two tiny pups at her side—both of whom are now safe in foster care and on their way to rescue. But sweet Shandy is still waiting behind kennel doors. Affectionate, friendly, and gentle, Shandy has shown she’s great with other dogs and has a heart full of love to give. She’s playful, active, and has the sweetest disposition—just take a look at her soulful eyes and wagging tail. *During her time at the shelter, staff noticed a discharge that looked like blood. She was initially treated with antibiotics for a possible UTI, and while it improved temporarily, the issue returned. A second vet visit brought more antibiotics and a new theory: it could be a small tear from giving birth. However, there’s still concern about more serious possibilities, like pyometra. Shandy is being spayed 5/20 and we will have a better answer as to what her condition is afterwards.   If you have previously applied with us please email [email protected] to reactivate your application with new interest.All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. We accept Credit cards, Debit cards as well as cash. At this time we do not accept checks. Our Adoption fees for all animals cover required vetting: which includes, Rabies, Distemper Vaccine Series, Bordetella, Deworming, Heartworm Test as age appropriate, Spay or Neuter and Microchip and registration. Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption.
