Meet Dora

We are told Dora is a Shih tzu/Yorkie mix and is around 4 months old. This sweet girl is on the lookout for her fur-ever home, she is shy but learning that she enjoys the pets and attention. A fenced in yard is most ideal, she has not been leash trained yet. Another another dog in the home will be a must for her. She’s a pretty shy pup, but starting to become more curious. A home with older kids would be best as she is tiny and scared with fast movement. Dora is a bit of a talker and is not house trained, so she will need a dedicated and patient family. She is a dog that will need grooming about every 6 to 8 weeks.   An approved adoption application is required. The $425 adoption fee ( payable by cash or check only ) includes spay/neuter; microchip; vaccinations; fecal w/ giardia testing, monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention . Our adoption application may be found by going to:  www.headinhomerescue.org ; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.
