Meet POPPY

Hi everyone, I'm Poppy, the 4-year-old, 35lb Australian Kelpie & Chihuahua mix looking for my furever family! My life has not been easy - I went from a hoarder home to a situation where I was tied to a tree 24/7 before I was rescued. Although I was starved for love and attention most of my life, I actually could not be any sweeter. Now I’m here in Michigan (being fostered in Albion) hoping you will take me home with you!I’m a real sweetheart, a lover of all people and do well with adults and kids alike. I really enjoy walks and I recently went on a 2 mile run and loved it! My foster mom said I did a great job and didn’t pull even once. I have a lot of love to give have a sweet and silly personality. I am doing really well leaving my foster mom’s cats alone, but if they decide one day that they’d like to play, I’d love that, too!I get along GREAT with other dogs, but I do have a little quirk: because I was not always fed regularly, I need to be fed separately from my furry pals. But my foster Mom has been working on this with me and I’m starting to feel a lot more comfortable. Apart from that, I'm pretty much perfect!I’m already housebroken, crate-trained, fully-vetted, microchipped and my adoption fee is $300.
