Meet Shadow
Shadow, age 12, is the sweetest, most playful little guy! He’s full of joy, loves his toys (especially little stuffies), and never turns down a game of fetch or a walk. He’s an active pup who enjoys being out and about, but his favorite thing in the world is his person. Shadow loves following you from room to room and snuggling up at night. If you’re looking for a couch potato, Shadow isn’t your match—but if you want a loyal, fun-loving companion who will keep you smiling, he’s your guy. Shadow’s Story Shadow came to us after his elderly owner realized she could no longer care for both herself and him. She made the decision to surrender him to a local vet, who contacted us, and we were able to welcome Shadow into our rescue. Our mission is to help pets whose owners are entering hospice, assisted living, or have passed away, and Shadow is a perfect example of why we do what we do. Special Care Shadow has a chronic eye condition that requires two daily medications to keep him comfortable. He’s a champ about taking his drops, but he’ll need an adopter who can financially commit to this ongoing care. Because of his poodle coat, he also requires regular, professional grooming so this is an additional cost to consider. The Details Housetrained Walks well on leash Neutered & up to date on vaccinations Will receive a dental before adoption If you’re ready for a loving, playful companion who will shower you with affection, Shadow is waiting for you! Adoption Process
We have an adoption application, which is reviewed by a committee, we then do a visit with the animal, and if everything goes well, an adoption contact is signed. Depending on the medical needs of the animals, the adoption fee ranges from waived to $175.
