Mission StatemetMalinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue, Inc. (MAD) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which is dedicated to rescuing Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherds who have found themselves without a home (surrendered, discarded, abused, neglected or impounded). MAD does not have a physical location and is operated by compassionate, like-minded professionals who volunteer their time and resources to help save and care for the Malinois and Dutch Shepherds. All animals that are accepted by MAD are spayed or neutered, given medical attention and rehabilitation, as needed, and placed with foster homes until their health and evaluations are completed and they are ready to be placed in their loving permanent homes.

Meet Harlow - located in AZ

Originally Harlow was adopted from a shelter in Phoenix Arizona. Harlow bonded strongly with primary owner (female) less so with rest of family. A higher energy Malinois, very focused and sensitive, very loyal and loving. House trained, basic obedience sit, down, heel in (french) 'stay' and 'here' in english, loves to play with toys, plays nice with other family dogs, easy on the leash. Easy in the car, can stay home (free roaming) for many hours - not destructive. Knows how to use doggy door. Does well when boarded, plays with other dogs at boarding facility. Does not like to be in a crate. Newly introduced peopl and dogs are able to interact and play with Harlow after proper introductions. Due to the higher enrgy a breed saavy adoptive family is required for a successful placement.
