Meet Goldie - located in Arizona

Goldie is a sweet fawn-colored young female Malinois. She was wandering the deserts of San Tan Valley AZ with no identification...It appears she was abandoned in the desert - luckily some compassionate residents took her in. Goldie has been nurtured and provided shelter for about a month as of this writing. We estimate her age to be around 1 year old.Goldie is great at showing her loving appreciation to her foster mom, she is a low drive Malinois, gets along with all other dogs, including a small Chihuahua (host sister). She seems fine with small farm animals and not very interested in cats or wild rabbits (untested as of now). She gets along with the neighbor's kids, generally Goldie is a very easy-going pooch. Goldie can be handled with no reactions, she is food motivated, and so far she exhibits no toy drive. She currently lives in a rural area surrounded by farm animals and horses.Goldie is looking for a loving home that has time to train and give her manners. She has an off switch and likes to snuggle. As of three weeks after rescuing her from the desert, she had a cautious demeanor but curious at the same time when approached by strangers. She absolutely loves her foster-mom. Goldie is initially energetic, enthusiastic, and calms down in about 5 minutes after initial encounterAccording to the foster mother, Goldie gets along with everyone and everything, only showing some curiosity to stray cats that come near the fenced kennel she is in. She is currently housed in a large shed with a porch that is fenced in, she shares this home with another stray that was found with her of similar age, also a shepherd. Foster mother has a pet Chihuahua that gets along fine with Goldie. Goldie was tested with a friendly Lab and a reactive Mal and she did very well for both. She will match another dog's energy and is overall very chill and sweet with people. She has a great off switch and needs just a few walks and training sessions a day.Untested w/ cats. However, she has encountered cats roaming near her kennel and has been non-reactive but curious...Ideally, she is looking for a home with fur siblings, humans who are excited about giving her mental and physical exercise and someone to spend time with!
