Meet Maggie

Meet Maggie – A Bright Mind with a Tender Heart Maggie is a petite Border Collie mix with a big brain and a gentle spirit. Weighing just 22 pounds, this beautiful black-and-white girl is incredibly smart and eager to learn—especially when treats are involved! Maggie is still timid around people and will need a patient, experienced adopter to help her build confidence and work through her fears. While she thrives in the company of other dogs, she would do best in a home where she can also get plenty of one-on-one attention and positive reinforcement training. She has made great progress in her foster home, but she’s still considered a flight risk and is not suited for a home with young children. Maggie, along with her presumed littermates Toby and Chloe, was picked up as a stray in Southern Indiana. Despite her rough start, Maggie is making steady progress and has immense potential in the right home. Excellent with other dogs Highly intelligent and food motivated Needs a securely fenced yard and a calm environment Best suited to a home with no young children Will flourish with continued support and training If you have the experience and heart to help a timid dog blossom, Maggie might be the perfect match. Maggie is being fostered in Freemont, INPlease contact  [email protected]   if you have any questions about Maggie.  You can complete an application to adopt Maggie or any of the dogs on our website at   www.comebyebcrescue.org  .   ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.

Adoption Process
Adoption process includes completing an application, having personal references checked, vet checks and home visit by one of our volunteers. Your application and backup information is then presented to the Board/Committee for review. Once your application has been approved, you may then schedule a meeting with the dog(s) in which you are interested. The foster home has the final approval on the adoption of his or her dog.
