Meet Walter

Meet Walter! A charming seven-month-old Labrador Retriever/Siberian Husky mix from Asheville, NC, whose snowy-white coat, brushed with hints of golden sunshine, is only matched by his sweet, snuggly nature. Walter is the kind of pup who quickly becomes your shadow—in the best way possible! He’s playful, clever, and endlessly loyal. His heart is big, and his belly? Always ready for rubs! He’s already mastered basic commands like “sit,” “come,” “down,” “paw,” “stay,” and even “off”—all thanks to his sharp mind and eagerness to please. He’s also crate-trained, house-trained, and genuinely happy to settle in when left alone, though be prepared for an enthusiastic tail-thumping welcome upon your return! True to his Husky-Lab heritage, Walter is a fan of active adventures—fetching, hiking, and chewing on his favorite toys rank high on his list of daily joys. He thrives in the outdoors and would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run, explore, and let his energy out. Walter is a sensitive soul who takes a little time to warm up to new people. While he’s reserved at first, with a little patience and kindness, his affectionate personality blossoms. He’s great with adult female dogs and has shown he can be quite the social companion when matched with the right canine friend. His confidence is still growing, and he’ll need a caregiver who can guide him with gentle structure, positive reinforcement, and continued socialization. Walter is still a young puppy, and it will be a requirement that he be neutered at an appropriate age, when the procedure is safer and more beneficial for his growth and development. Because of a tough dynamic with his littermate, Walter is now looking for a new loving home where he can shine as the unique and wonderful dog he is. He’ll thrive with an experienced pet parent who understands the value of patience, training, and the joy of nurturing a puppy into a well-balanced adult dog. Ready for an endlessly loyal hiking buddy who’s part Husky explorer, part Lab snuggler, and all heart? Walter’s waiting to meet you! To learn more or meet Walter, contact [email protected].
