Meet Biscuit

Meet Biscuit! A spirited nine-year-old hound mix from Arlington Heights, IL, whose joyful personality is wrapped in a striking brown brindle coat with charming white accents. Don’t let her age fool you—Biscuit is still bursting with energy and has a playful heart that just keeps going! Whether she’s happily trotting along on a sniff-filled walk, enthusiastically chasing down a tennis ball or stick, or proudly showing off her puzzle-solving skills, Biscuit lives for fun, adventure, and being your constant sidekick. Tug-of-war? She’s a pro! Puzzle toys? Consider them solved! Chewy treats and ear scratches? Yes, please! This affectionate and enthusiastic companion is a people-loving pup who thrives on attention. She knows commands like sit, shake, lay down, stay, and roll over, and she responds well to treats and positive reinforcement. Biscuit is food-motivated and does well when given a treat or a Kong toy before being left alone. While she’s mostly quiet, she can become vocal if she knows you’re nearby but out of sight—just her way of saying she misses you! Biscuit is generally friendly with other dogs and would love a yard to play in or an active pet parent to keep her engaged. However, she is not compatible with cats. She’s had one defensive nip incident involving a young child who startled her while trying to push her off the couch. It was a quick, reactive moment that didn’t result in injury, and even the child acknowledged their role in the situation. With that in mind, Biscuit would thrive best in a home with adults or older children who understand her boundaries and can help her feel secure. Healthy, spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and house-trained, Biscuit is ready to bring joy, fun, and plenty of cuddles to a new loving home. She’s a sweet girl who tends to become a loyal shadow, always nearby and eager to share her love! Are you ready to welcome this playful, smart, and affectionate girl into your life? Biscuit is waiting to meet you—reach out at [email protected] and come say hello!
