Meet Pumpkin Spice *LOCAL*

To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application        HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see        HERE Age: about 2 years old, as of 1/2/2024 Weight: about 28 pounds, as of 1/2/2024 Location: RI    This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. If pumpkin spice season ends too early for you, here’s how you can enjoy it year-round. This Pumpkin Spice is a two-year-old sheltie/Pomeranian mix who just wants to be friends with everyone. She gets along well with the adults, dogs, and cats in her foster home, happy to play with them but respectful of corrections. There are no children in her current home, but her foster mom is an elementary school teacher, and Pumpkin visits often, so she is accustomed to little ones. Her list of favorite things includes squeaky toys, fetch, lap time, walks, playgroup, chew toys, going places, running, cuddling, meeting new people, and tug-o-war. She’s quiet and clean in her crate and is left gated in the kitchen when the family is not home and has not had any accidents. Pumpkin also walks calmly on a loose leash for the most part, but zig zags sometimes. She sometimes jumps on the furniture, but otherwise is a perfect house guest. We recommend training for Pumpkin Spice, to perfect her leash skills and house manners and connect with you. Dogs do best when they have someone to look to for direction, and training is the best way to establish that bond. So, if you are looking for a little spice in your life with a heaping side dish of love, look no further than Pumpkin Spice! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see      HERE      for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:    www.sosarl.org/aa/ *  *Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
