Meet Nolan
From Nolan's Texas foster: "Nolan has blossomed so much while with me. He has learned about playing with toys which he seemed to not have had previous exposure to. Now he has the zoomies all over the house throwing his toys around and catching them in the air. He is now cat friendly. Today him and the cat were both eating out of the same bowl! He is super smart. He learned how to open my back door to let himself in and out so a deadbolt is a must with him. He learned how to open my fridge because the cheese is in there, lol. He now knows sit, shake, and lay down and we almost had stay but ran out of time. It’s been so fun watching him play with my dogs and learning to be a family dog. I love how he matched the energy to the kids based on their ages. The 2 year old he is so gentle with and so calm but get the 15 year old is outside with him, he's running everywhere playing with them. He matches the energy of the other dogs depending on their size and play style. With a consistent schedule, he has had no accidents in the house. He is an amazing dog and is going to be a great family dog."is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. In some cases this dog may be pending an adoption already, and their profile has not been updated yet. Please note, SPR does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated otherwise. All breeds listed are educated best estimates by transferring shelter staff, our volunteers or our vets. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort.If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, or in some cases in our very small private kennel facility on Martha's Vineyard and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A large majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation. To learn more about our rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of FAQ’s on our website at WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM.**The FIRST step in adopting an animal from our rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.
