Meet Nola

Meet Nola! A loving six-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix from Kent, WA, whose soulful eyes and velvety black coat are only matched by her big heart and even bigger cuddles. Nola is the kind of girl who knows what she likes—sniff-filled walks, sunbathing in the yard, and spending quality time cuddled up with her favorite people (or even her favorite toy). She's mellow in the mornings, content to lounge while the house is busy, but as the day progresses, so does her energy—she’s ready for a game of tug in the yard or a long stroll where she can take in the scents of the world! She’s a thoughtful and affectionate companion who thrives on interaction and structure. Nola does best with older children or active adults who can match her spirit of adventure and her love for affection. She’s crate trained, house-trained, and knows how to work her charm for treats—just ask her to spin, high five, or sit, and she’ll deliver (especially if there's a snack involved)!  Nola is selectively social with other dogs. While she’s lived with both male and female dogs and attended doggy daycare with positive feedback, she’s had a few minor altercations—mostly around food or toys. These situations haven’t led to injuries, but they do show she needs clear boundaries and continued, positive socialization. On walks, she can be reactive and overly eager when spotting other dogs, often pulling with a wagging tail, unsure of how to manage her excitement. With structured guidance, she can continue to build confidence and better social manners. This curious girl also has a little neighborhood-watch side—perched by the window, she keeps tabs on every passerby and lets you know when something’s up with a friendly bark. She’s not trying to guard, just keeping you in the loop. And when it comes to grooming? She actually enjoys the attention, especially if it involves a gentle brush and some sweet talk! Nola would truly shine in a home with a fenced yard or an active family who loves outdoor adventures. She’s looking for someone who can give her the attention, reassurance, and positive reinforcement she needs to keep building confidence and joy. Reach out to [email protected] to meet Nola and start your next great adventure—together!
