Meet Guinness
Guinness may be named after what some people may refer to as a bitter beer, but our Guinness is a very sweet boy! He is a 3 year 3-month-old mixed breed/terrier and weighs only 32 pounds. He is a bit shy and is looking for a family that has the patience and love to bring him out of his shell.Guinness has a low to medium level of energy. He enjoys adults and children aged 12 and above. Socialization is the key for Guinness to gain his footing in new environments and of course all exposure needs to be done slowly so he can adjust on his own terms. Living the life of a house dog is where Guinness shines. He enjoys playing with his toys and he looks forward to a play partner. After playtime or if his human is occupied, Guinness will find a quiet spot to lay down and fall asleep. When on the go, Guinness proves to be a great riding partner in the car. He is calm and sits quietly during a long or short road trip. This smart boy is fully house trained, and crate trained. He will sleep in his crate quietly whether that is all night long or going in during the day to take a nap. His leash training is in progress, but with consistency and patience, he will become a pro at this skill, also. A 30 minute walk a day is a good amount of exercise to keep Guinness content. Although he would not shy away from more exercise if the opportunity presented arose. The perfect owner for Guinness is someone who will provide daily physical and mental exercise, along with plenty of opportunities for socialization with people, and slow introductions to other dogs. This sweet boy would also like a lot of love. The adoption fee for Guiness is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
