Meet Frankie

Meet Frankie! This 2-year old fawn merle stunner came to us from our friends at local animal control after her owner could no longer care for her. It’s easy to notice Frankie’s strikingly bright blue eyes…we don’t call her Ol’ Blue Eyes for nothing! They are vividly captivating and we all know it! But it’s also easy to notice there is some potential impairment in those ice-hued baby blues. The good news is…Frankie can definitely see (and hear)! She is headed to an ophthalmologist in a few weeks to have a professional give her the once over!  Fly Me to the Moon - Frankie is AMAZING! She has a sweet, gentle, mellow, AND playful nature and is a natural entertainer. She is soooo easy to love! She loves to snuggle, loves kongs, is great in the car, amazing on leash, and keeps herself busy in the house while her foster mom works from home. She gently mouths while receiving affection with the softest lips and is an easy-going friend. She loves nature and the outdoors and we would consider her an expert scat finder (which is an important job and someone has to do it!).  Frankie tries to engage the resident cat in her foster home in play but doesn’t get upset if he swats or hisses. And she enjoys sleeping on the bed or couch with him. She has been great around the dogs she’s met – wanting to engage in appropriate play. Frankie is also somewhat cautious in new situations and can be a bit worried. She has had multiple homes in her short life and needs her next stop to be her last stop. But she bonds (and trusts!) quickly with her humans. Due to her size and lack of history, older kids would be best for this unique and stunning rat packer. Frankie’s top 3 priorities: 1. A family that is up to the task of snuggling in bed every night. Seriously…non-snugglers need not apply for this cuddle horse and a half. 2. A family who would love to explore the outdoors through the eyes of this innocent soul. 3. A family up who wants to commit to loving this angel forever – she has been bounced around to multiple homes in her young life through no fault of her own and is GREAT despite humans failing her.

Adoption Process
Adoptions Crops and Flops Rescue, Inc. prides ourselves on spending extra time with our thorough adoption process to make sure our pups and their forever families are set up for a lifetime of happiness. Being a foster-home based rescue means we understand our dogs’ personalities in a home setting and what type of environment would set them up for success. We go the extra mile with our adoption process to understand our adopters’ households to make a match made in heaven. While we understand that looks can be important, we focus our efforts on finding a match based on household, lifestyle, and temperament for the best chance of a happily-ever-after. Our dog adoption specialists are invested in our adopters and are volunteering their time to help make a great forever match. Adoption Process Our adoption process consists of the following: • Complete an Application • Reference Checks: Both veterinary and personal references are required • Phone Interview: Typically lasts 20-30 minutes with one of our knowledgeable dog adoption specialists for us to understand our adopters household • Home Visit: Our home checks are conducted both virtually and in person, include verification of home ownership, and usually take around 30 minutes to complete • Dog Meet: Adopters will be guided to meeting a dog that would be a good match – all resident family members are required to be present • Next Steps: Subsequent steps are determined at initial dog meet, especially when you have a resident dog • Adoption: We ask our adopters to wait 24-hours before scheduling an adoption to make sure all family members are committed – if all agree, we schedule the adoption as soon as volunteer schedules will allow Adoption Donations All Crops and Flops Rescue, Inc. dogs come spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines and monthly preventatives, have received fecal testing and 4DX testing for tick-borne illnesses, and are sent home with an extra 2 month supply of heartworm preventatives. Adoption donations are as follows: • Whippersnapper Puppies (up to 11 months) $500 • Adult House Hippos (1 year – 7 years) $400 • Senior Pitizens (8 years+) $300
