Meet Max

Meet Max! A wise and wonderfully watchful three-year-old Saint Bernard/Anatolian Shepherd mix from Cumming, GA, whose calm heart, striking looks, and sharp mind make him an unforgettable companion with a surprising zest for morning jogs. Max is a gentle giant wrapped in a plush tan coat, tipping the scales at a solid 95 pounds of lovable loyalty. Max is a head-turner—his regal build often stop folks in their tracks. But Max isn't just handsome—he’s incredibly smart, too! A natural observer, Max spends his days soaking in the world around him with the quiet wisdom of an old soul. Whether it's gazing out the window or stretching out for one of his many naps, he brings a calming presence to any home. Don’t let his mellow nature fool you, though—Max lights up when it’s time to run! Dog parks are his happy place, where he dashes with joy and an almost goofy grin, especially when he's got a trusty chew toy in tow. He also ran three miles every morning with his caregiver! He's a terrific balance of couch companion and workout buddy, and his ideal day includes a brisk morning trot followed by a peaceful window-gazing session or cozy crate time. Max knows his basics and then some—commands like heel, sit, down, place, wait, and “take it” are already in his vocabulary, thanks to his ongoing training at the renowned ADZK9 center. He’s working through some possession quirks, and the amazing trainers there will continue to support his new pet parent with lifetime guidance, ensuring Max’s transition to his next chapter is smooth and successful. Vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, Max is respectful of indoor spaces—no shoe chewing or furniture mishaps here! He’s generally friendly with people and has lived successfully with cats, though he’ll need proper introductions. He can be selective with other dogs, so a thoughtful approach to canine meet-and-greets is best. A home with a yard, or even a farm, would make him one happy pup! Max is looking for a consistent, loving caregiver who will follow through with his training and give him the structure he needs to continue growing. Are you ready to bring home a running buddy, a nap enthusiast, and a thoughtful friend all in one? To learn more about Max or to bring him into your life, reach out to [email protected]! Could Max be the gentle giant you’ve been waiting for?
