Meet Luna

Luna was removed from a home where she was starved and left to suffer for weeks with an untreated broken leg.  The leg had to be amputated and after the surgery she delivered a big surprise- 3 puppies!  It is a miracle that they survived through anesthesia and with her body in such bad shape.  Her poor ears were cruelly butchered and her body bears scars documenting her difficult life.  Kindness matters rescue brought her into a foster home where she and the pups are doing well.  Luna is a happy, friendly girl just looking for a soft landing. She will be available for adoption once the pups are weaned and she is spayed.  Luna gets along well on 3 legs but a home with easy access to the outside would be great.  She seems to be ok with other dogs. 

Adoption Process
Typically we intake from high kill shelters/animal control and public surrender. Animals are vetted then transferred to Rescue Partners or directly adopted to the public after spay/neuter application and background check/home check. Our adoption fee ranges from $150-350. Animals are required to be indoor only companion animals, if the adoption fails the animal must be returned to KMR.
