GODIVA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Godiva Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd and heeler mix Best Guess for Age: 6 months as of April 2024 SEX: Female Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 15 lbs as of 4/15/24 Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs and cats so long as they receive patience and proper training. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special Adoption Considerations: Godiva is shy and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog to show her the ropes. Because of her shy personality, we do not recommend her for a home with children under the age of 12. Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. Godiva is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweet, sweet girl landed in the shelter looking like she hadn't gotten the best start to life. She's in good hands now and we are gonna make sure she gets much-deserved good care and love now. Godiva may no longer be a squishy puppy but she's still an older puppy and wants what all puppies want - lots of love and play time and deep naps on warm laps. And to explore the neighborhood - the local parks - the world! And to make new pup and people pals along the way. In exchange, wow, she's got so much to give. Adoring gazes and tail wags and kisses and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Is Godiva the one you can see by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: Coming soon! Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog! TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.
