Paws Crossed Dog Rescue

We pull dogs from high-kill, rural shelters and place them in foster homes. Once they are vetted and spay/neuter (as needed) has happened, their information will be placed on our website to begin accepting adoption applications. We are a small group of animal rescuers & fosters who have a huge passion for saving shelter dogs. Personally, I've had 60 foster dogs in my home over the last 4 years and some of our potential volunteers have had even more in that same time period, all with a different rescue organization. I have a wonderful relationship with our local animal control facility and work closely with them to make sure dogs are placed in appropriate homes.

Meet Millie

Paws Crossed Dog Rescue serves the Eastern Panhandle of WV and nearby areas.  Please read Adoption Info on the left side of our website to learn about the adoption application process.   Millie comes to us from southern WV.  She's an active girl, loves to play and run.  She must absolutely have a physical fence in her yard.  She's good with other dogs her size, loves to follow her human around the house.  she loves to sit on your lap . House training is a work in progress, but she's doing well.  She is crate/kennel trained. She will need work on a leash!  We don't know how she would be around cats. She's up-to-date on all of her vaccinations, has been spayed, and is ready for her forever home.  We do not adopt into homes that use electronic, underground, or wireless fencing.   Email inquiries can be made to [email protected] Please read ADOPTION INFO on the left side of the website before submitting an adoption application.

Adoption Process
We use an adoption application, do a judicial background check, personal references, and a home visit. We have an adoption contract. We do not adopt to anyone who will keep a dog outside. We pull dogs from high-kill, rural shelters and place them in foster homes. Once they are vetted and spay/neuter (as needed) has happened, their information will be placed on our website to begin accepting adoption applications.
