Meet Calvin was at the shelter 2 months
We're reaching out with a heavy heart and a plea for help for our dear Calvin. This sweet 8-month-old pup has been under our care for 54 long days, and every day that passes without finding him a loving home weighs heavily on our souls. Calvin arrived at our shelter full of hope and excitement, his tail wagging with anticipation of the wonderful adventures that lay ahead. But as the days turned into weeks, Calvin's optimism began to wane, replaced by a sense of longing and uncertainty. Despite his youth, Calvin has already spent too much time behind shelter walls, deprived of the warmth of a cozy bed, the joy of a playful romp in the park, and the unconditional love of a devoted family. And with each passing day, the light in Calvin's eyes dims just a little bit more. Calvin is a typical puppy in many ways - playful, affectionate, and full of boundless energy. However, it's important to note that Calvin has shown negative reactions when meeting other dogs. This behavior requires a bit of understanding and management, as Calvin navigates his journey toward becoming the best version of himself. Despite his challenges, Calvin's capacity to love knows no bounds. All he needs is a chance - a chance to show the world just how special he truly is, a chance to be the loyal and loving companion he was always meant to be.
Adoption Process
Our adopters fill out an application that screens for problems that may be detrimental to our cats and kittens. Once the adopter is approved we provide veterinary referrals which help with low cost spays or neuters for the kittens that are too young at the time of adoption. We are always available to help with behavioral issues that arise. We provide numerous information sheets in our adoption folders, plus the medical background of each cat. The only fees involved with our program are adoption fees that offset our veterinary bills.
