Partnership for Animal Welfare

Partnership for Animal Welfare (PAW) was founded in 1996 and is a all-volunteer, cat and dog rescue organization. Our mission is to place homeless dogs and cats in loving and stable homes. We focus on holding weekend adoption shows to allow prospective owners to meet with the animals and with our volunteers.

Meet Scotty

If you like doggie kisses Scotty is the guy for you!  This sweet, scruffy boy is 1 year old, 35 pounds, and LOVES people.  His ideal home would be one where his people just want to love on him.  Scotty is good boy who wants to be close to you and get cuddles.  He is easy in the home - after a walk and play time he will settle down and nap at your feet.   He is playful and smart and will be easy to train as he is eager to please.  He loves to chase balls, play with other dogs, and after a few hisses, quickly learned to leave his foster's cat alone.  Scotty is good in the car and once he is settled in his new home he will enjoy adventures to the local park, outdoor cafe, or hiking trail.  Scotty's foster says that "he's really good with basic commands, including 'sit' and 'paw'." Also, Scotty is learning 'stay' so he will wait, wiggily but patiently, until his food is served before eating.  He will sleep in the crate at night but would much prefer to sleep in your bed. Scotty would love the chance to show you his skills and be rewarded with a special place in your heart.  If you have room for a dog who will adore you and be your best friend, apply for Scotty today!PAW places dogs in the DC, MD, northern VA, and southern PA area only.
