Meet Susie

NOTE- SUSIE IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION. PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW. Here's what the humans have to say about me: Y'all....meet Susie! *Please read the entire post!**Susie is a darling munchkin who is approximately 10 years old and 18 lbs. Unfortunately, her dad passed and she's looking for a family all of her own. Susie is best suited as an only pet, in an indoor, quiet home with an experienced pet person.Medical: Susie has diabetes, a heart murmur, and some heart enlargement. Currently, she is on insulin morning and evening and is fed 4 small meals a day. She is not on any special diet or medication for her heart at this time. This could change as she ages. She is tolerating her insulin injections well.Susie is mostly house-trained (a few accidents while sorting out her blood sugar). She is sweet and social but will sometimes snap or growl without much notice. Although she seems to like children it may be best for her to live with older kiddos or no kids. Her adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor. Once adopted, she will be sent to her new home with some insulin and supplies.Apply at https://highlandcountyhumanesociety.orgIncluded in Adoption: All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated - Da2pp, Bordetella and Rabies, tested for HW/Lyme, dewormed and started on HW/Wormer monthly prevention (Interceptor Plus), and treated for flea/tick control (Advantix).
