Partnership for Animal Welfare

Partnership for Animal Welfare (PAW) was founded in 1996 and is a all-volunteer, cat and dog rescue organization. Our mission is to place homeless dogs and cats in loving and stable homes. We focus on holding weekend adoption shows to allow prospective owners to meet with the animals and with our volunteers.

Meet Cheddar

No dog is better than Cheddar! She is fluffy, soft, sweet, and gentle. She is good on leash and can be excitable; she is young after all. At just over one year of age, she is housebroken and crate trained. She knows "sit" and she is working on new commands. She is good with kids and cats - a great family dog! Cheddar's foster says that she is wonderful! She has settled right in to her temporary home, enjoyed getting out for a walk to exlore the neighborhood, and fell asleep chewing her bone at the end of the day.Cheddar is good in the car, she is energetic enough to take on long walks, hikes, or other active adventures. She is a snuggler too, and loves a soft spot to rest her head - maybe in your lap while you watch a movie - or in her crate while you work. Her foster does share that Cheddar has a bit of separation anxiety, so she will need a person who is going to be a round a lot and introduce her to the big world!

Adoption Process
1. Interested adopter fills out adoption application. 2. Application is reviewed by Adoption Review committee within a couple of days. 3. Vet check is performed on applicant for current and past pets. 4. Home visit is conducted. 5. If the adoption is approved, a contract is signed, a donation made, and the pet goes home with the adopter.
