1Meet Jumbo
Jumbo, female, 6 months old! Jumbo came in at just 2 months and has been with us for 4 months now with no luck in finding a forever family. Jumbo can initially be shy/timid but after a short period she loves and loves hard. She has the cutest zoomies and goat jumps when her loved ones come home. She's always looking for a belly rub and loves to cuddle on your lap. She's crate trained and potty trained. ----- Jumbo and her brother, Wumbo found themselves stranded at a shelter feeling lost, lonely, and confused. We were able to bring them into rescue and start their search at a forever home. As a young puppy, she's looking for a family with plenty of time and patience to help show her everything a young puppy needs to know. She is still very young and working on house training, crate training, as well as basic puppy manners. To adopt Jumbo please apply on our website! www.keytolionsheart.org/adopt Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our dogs. All of our dogs are working on their crate and house training.
Adoption Process
Our process will include the following components:
1. Checking your personal references. Please be sure to list two personal references that are not related to you.
2. If you do not own your place of residence we will need to call your landlord or leasing office.
3. Veterinarian reference. If you do not have any pets currently in the home, please list the veterinarian you used for any previous pets. We do require all pets in the home to be spayed/neutered.
4. Phone interview. One of our adoption coordinators will call and speak with you about your application and dog of choice.
5. Home visit from a Key to Lionâs Heart Rescue volunteer.
Once your application is complete you will be notified of your approval to adopt and can take your new dog/puppy home after signing the adoption contract and paying the specified donation fee.
Our fees for puppies up to 6 months is $400 to include age appropriate vaccines and microchip.
Dogs 6 months to 7 years old are $350 to include routine vaccines, spay/neuter (unless unable due to medical) and microchip. All dogs over the age of 7 are $250 to include routine vaccines, spay/neuter (unless unable due to medical) and microchip.
