JACK NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Jack          Best Guess for Breed:  Terrier and shepherd mix  Best Guess for Age:  2 years as of May 2025        SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:  38 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   Texas shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get here on a freedom flight on May 17!   Special adoption considerations:  In certain home settings -- where the environment might be loud or more intense -- this dog would do better with another dog in the home to give him confidence.   Jack is Looking For:   This sweetie landed in the shelter through no fault of his own and is eager to get out. He is looking for a new place to hang out, with family who wants give him some nice walks and rockin' playtime, and are fully prepared to relax with him on the couch when the time comes! He's not too cool for school and would love to learn the ropes with you. What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update this once he has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with his foster.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
