Rescue Well Incorporated

Our organization primarily helps owners keep pets in safe and healthy homes. We do this by offering support (i.e. training advice, management), supplies (i.e. food, crates, leashes), and we work closely with animal control on cases where owners truly just need help keeping pets. When re-homing is best, we work with owners to provide re-homing assistance which includes marketing and screening of applicants, as well as post-adoption support for adopters.

Meet NORMAN (COURTESY POST)

Norman is 5 years old and weighs 45 lbs.  He is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped.  Norman knows common commands and he likes riding in a car.  He's been causing a raucus with his guardian's neighbors and landlord because he keeps escaping the house.  The landlord wants him gone asap because of the complaints. Norman's guardian states the reason for she musts rehome him:  "Escape artist - I've done everything to keep him inside but with young kids and a newborn he sneaks out he can open his crate when he's determined.  He is supposed to be off property asap I can try and see if they will give me a week but I am not sure if it will be allowed due to so many complaints." Norman's guardian further states:  " Norman is a five year old, loving Staffordshire terrier, who has grown up with young children an and babies, since he entered our home. He’s great with all people other dogs and cats. He loves, going on car rides and walks and playing in the park. The only downside is he is an escape artist. We’ve never had any issues with him, but due to him constantly escaping at home or landlord has issued he be removed from the property which absolutely breaks our heart. It’s very important to us that he goes to someone who can give him the time and love he deserves, he will be loyal to you through anything and protect you. He knows hand, gestures, and basic commands. He would be the perfect family, dog or dog for a single companion really anyone who would be open to welcome him to their home." Norman has lived with children ages newborn to 5 and with cats; he hasn't lived with dogs, but he's very submissive around other dogs.  Therefore, Norman's guardian recommends his living with children, dogs, and cats. A fenced yard or electric fence would be best for Norman in his future ideal home according to his guardian.
