DANTE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Dante         Best Guess for Breed:   Standard Poodle Best Guess for Age:   2 yrs 4 months as of June 2025          SEX:    Male   Approximate Weight:   47 lbs   Gets Along With:  Dogs, and has lived with kids. We haven't seen him with cats but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Special Adoption Considerations:  Due to Dante's previous situation in Puerto Rico, he has a major transition to go through when he arrives and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Dante would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.     Currently Living at:   Shelter, needs a foster or forever home!   Dante is Looking For:    A family who will give him all the love he deserves!  He's had quite the ride...his elderly owner in Puerto Rico was unable to take care of him, and had tied him outside.  A generous neighbor offered to find a better situation for him, took him to the vet, and asked for help from our Puerto Rico partner, Love for Satos, to find him a better home!  He's a happy boy who looks forward to a family who will give him plenty of opportunities to walk, run, and play, and who wants to snuggle once the day is done.   Could you be the one to start his next chapter?  What My Foster Says About Me:   Will update once he has a foster! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
