PEEPS NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Peeps Best Guess for Breed: Lab/Jack Russell Terrier Best Guess for Age: 9 months as of 09/07/2024 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 30 pounds as of 09/07/2024 Gets Along With: Other dogs! We have tested Peeps with some of the cats at the shelter, and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Peeps could live with a cat, she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: After being rescued from the streets, I was very scared and shut down. However, I have been making great strides. I would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure I can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to continue to build my confidence. Peeps is Looking For: Hola!! I'm Peeps, and I am a Sato. Satos are Puerto Rican street dogs, and we are amazing dogs. I am one of a litter of five - Padma, Panda, Patty, Peeps - who all came up from a Puerto Rico shelter to find our forever homes here. I am smart, resourceful, a little mischievous, and if you adopt me, I will be FOREVER grateful. You see, I was living on the streets and that's not easy. I didn't have a home, or anyone feeding me regularly. But I am smart, and I was resourceful (and just a teensy bit mischievous) and I survived and was rescued by some amazing people, and now I've got my chance for my freedom flight -- and to find my forever family! I'm really excited!! I would just love to have my own bed, some delicious and nutritious kibble (maybe twice a day??), some trips to the dog park, some sniffy walks, and to curl up on your couch with you and watch some tv at the end of the day. And in return, I will give you so much love -- because I know what it's like to not have those things, and I'm never going to forget that you gave them to me. Never ever ever. I promise. And I'm just going to be mischievous enough that you are going to say "Look at my Sato!! How smart she is and how lucky am I to have her!!" What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this section when Peeps has arrived and spent some time with her foster. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.
