Meet Bumble
BUMBLE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Bumble and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Jan. 14) from 12-3 pm at the PETSMART in ROCKVILLE (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895)! Name: Bumble Best Guess for Breed: Heeler mix Best Guess for Age: 4 years as of December 2023 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 39 lbs as of December 2023 Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to come up here after completing heartworm treatment Special adoption considerations: Bumble is a truly Lucky Dog. Although she has tested positive for Heartworm disease, she has already been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. We are happy to talk more in depth about heartworm disease and treatment during the adoption counseling process. Bumble is Looking For: Her forever family! Through no fault of her own, this sweetie ended up in the shelter. She's eager to bust out and once again have her own humans for sniffy walks and romps in the park and all the adventures they can dream up. She's also well out of the puppy yips and as a wise, experienced dog, knows what's most important - being safe and loved and under her own roof! What do you say? Can you see this pretty spotted girl trotting by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.
