Meet Persimmon
PERSIMMON NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Persimmon and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (June 16th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Falls Church (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)! Name: Persimmon Best Guess for Breed: Lab/hound mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of May 2024 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 35lbs as of May 2024 Gets Along With: Other dogs! Persimmon lives with a cat in her foster home and is doing well. Due to her shy personality, we do not recommend her for a home with children under the age of 12. Currently Living at: DC area foster home. Special adoption considerations: Because Persimmon is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog. Due to her shy personality, we do not recommend her for a home with children under the age of 12. Persimmon is Looking For: Her forever home! She was lucky enough to be taken in by a rescue in Kabul. And even luckier because she has a chance to come to the DC area on a rescue flight; she is extremely unlikely to find a home in Kabul. Persimmon is a sweet, goofy girl looking for a forever home when she can be cherished as part of the family. She would love a family who can provide her with plenty of opportunities for play and exercise, as she's still a young pup! She dreams of long sniffy walks, trips to the park, and all of the snuggles with her people. To get there, she needs extra patient and loving adopters who will help her experience new environments and people at her pace. A welcoming resident dog will help show her how to dog too! What My Foster Says About Me: Persimmon is doing well after her long journey to get here and will likely need some time to open up, as she is getting used to living in a home. She has a sweet and curious side to her and is making great progress walking on a leash. She's also getting along well with her foster's dog! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .
