Meet Maverick

Maverick is a nice, settled boy and so easy to love. His foster says  "Maverick is a sweet boy who is very calm." He is going to make you a wonderful best friend and family dog. He has already learned the ropes of house living and has gotten very good at it. You might even be surprised when it feels like he has always lived in your home and with you. He is not an excitable boy, but does like his walks and playtime in the back yard. A soft dogbed in the house, preferably near you will make you very popular with Mav. When you show him some attention, he is going to bond quickly with you and be "yours" and that will extend to your whole family. If you are looking for a loving, kind, pleasant dog, his name would be Maverick.NOTE to you: You are undoubtably wondering why this perfect dog is up for adoption and not stretched out in front of the fireplace at someone's feet, even better on the couch. This is a good question and we know the answer. His people have been sent overseas and can't take him to this foreign country. Their great loss, your warm and loving gain!A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER: He went right into his crate practically as soon at he got here.  He is in it right now,  just chilling.  He likes to be there,  or near wherever I am.  He lay on the floor right next to me when I was resting on the sofa yesterday. He knows "do you want to go outside", seems to know sit. He likes to chew on his nyla bone, and has been sleeping through the night in his crate in the living room near our dog. We went for a walk this am and he was calm the whole time. He pulls some, but is better than I would have expected at this point. He does wait at the door for me when I leave.
