The Berkeley County Humane Society is a non-profit organization established in 1943 whose purpose is to promote the humane treatment of homeless or unwanted dogs and cats in the Easter Panhandle of West Virginia, with special emphasis on Berkeley County.

Atticus is 10 months to a year old. He is very high energy. He does well with other dogs. We would say no cats. Atticus would benefit from a fenced yard and he is strong on leash. Adoption fee is $175, cash or credit card...includes his neuter and vaccines. If you already have a dog, bring them with you for a 'meet and greet'. Mon.-Sat. 10-4
Adoption Process Adoption fee is $40.00 and they receive $25.00 of that back in the form of a spay/neuter certificate to use when surgery is done. We have a questionaire that is required to be filled out, adoption contract and copy of the West Virginia Spay/Neuter law is reviewed with adoptees as it is mandatory spay neuter when adopting from out facility. It is same day adoptions.
