Meet Harvey

Meet Harvey! This sweet boy is an 8 month old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix, weighing ~50lbs. As a true hound, he is food motivated (which helps with training), has a great nose that can sniff out any yummy bones lost under the couch, and the big floppy ears to hear the treat bag open from the other room. Also like most hounds, he has a loud bark, and likes to hear his own voice. Training wise he is working on basic commands, house, and crate training. He is great with other small or large dogs, and appears to be good with kids. Also, he is showing signs of separation anxiety, and will bark when people leave. Harvey has a prey drive and would do best in a household without cats or other small animals, like bunnies. He is most often a cuddly boy, but he also has bursts where he is very playful. He is already up to date with shots, already neutered and microchipped. Harvey is presently being fostered in Mountville, Pa. If you think Harvey is a fit for your home, please schedule a meet and greet. He may look like he's always about to doze off, but he is very excited to meet his forever family! New Oxford PA 17350; LIC # 9736 We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for more help.
