JASPER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Jasper Best Guess for Breed: Pug mix Best Guess for Age: 6 weeks as of 8/9 SEX: Male Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 4 lbs as of 8/9 Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. Jasper is Looking For: Woof! I'm Jasper! Me and my brothers Jinx, Jabba, and Jace, have loved hanging out with each other and our mama Joplin but we are ready to pack our puppy suitcases and find our very own forever homes! Right now, I'm such a young baby that I'm just looking for a lap or two to cuddle on, lots of toys, and, of course, treats! Once I'm older, I'd love to go on lots of walks and maybe some trips to the dog park so I can make some doggie friends. Oh, and I'd love to take a training class or two so I can show you how smart I am! What do you say? Am I the puppy for you? What My Foster Says About Me: My foster mom said: "I have been fostering since 2009 and focused on puppies and litters since 2019. I have to admit that this little litter has won my heart in a way none of the other litters have done. They are amazingly gentle and crave human contact. The minute I, or anyone, are where they can get to us, they are all in our laps and providing unending puppy kisses. Their goal is to be on top of you and as close as puppy possible. Under your skirt is a favorite so they can be close to your skin. They are curious and adventurous. I have to admit they have also already gotten themselves into some trouble and ripped up their extra dog bed. They kept the one they sleep on in one piece! They are consistently using the newspaper in their puppy pen." Puppy Vetting Requirements: Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog. Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than December 25, 2023. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets. Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog! TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.
