Buckwheat is part of our Little Rascal Litter. We got word that Buckwheat and his siblings were abandoned roadside in NC. He is an 8 week old, catahoula leopard dog mix, and weighing at about 6 lbs now. We searched for fosters and were able to bring them into rescue while they await their forever homes. This breed is known to be high energy so we’re looking for families who are ready to give him the outlets that he will need. As a young puppy, he's looking for a family with plenty of time an to help show him everything a young puppy needs to know. He is still very young and working on house training, crate training, as well as basic puppy manners. To adopt Buckwheat please apply on our website! www.keytolionsheart.org/adopt Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our dogs. All of our dogs are working on their crate and house training.
Adoption Process
Our process will include the following components:
1. Checking your personal references. Please be sure to list two personal references that are not related to you.
2. If you do not own your place of residence we will need to call your landlord or leasing office.
3. Veterinarian reference. If you do not have any pets currently in the home, please list the veterinarian you used for any previous pets. We do require all pets in the home to be spayed/neutered.
