Fairy Tails Rescue, Inc.

Hi everyone! Just as a little background on us, Sarah and Jules, we are originally from Pugh Zoo Rescue. Sarah founded Pugh Zoo and ran it from 2014 to 2019 after fostering and volunteering for other rescues for several years. Jules was one of her best fosters and volunteers during that time. Over that 5yrs span thousands of lives were saved but sadly personal issues arose which forced a closure. Two years later we have teamed up as Fairy Tails Rescue and can’t wait to save lives with the help of fans, family, friends and all those willing to join us on this journey!! <3

Meet Butters

~Adoptable Butters and Colette~ Meet adorable adoptable Butters (brown male 5 pounds) and Colette (black and white female 7 pounds). Both pups are between 1-2 years old and are so sweet. They came from a home which had 10 dogs, so it’s taken them some time to feel comfortable and warm up, as it appears they have not had a lot of socialization with people. Poor Colette was matted so badly that she had to be shaved down completely. Although they are shy and a bit nervous in their new foster home, they have been as sweet as can be and continue to make progress daily. Butters is the more outgoing of the two, and Colette will need more time to adjust in her new home. They have made friends with the resident dogs, as well as the foster cat in the home. Because they are so small, and shy, we prefer they go to a home with adults only or children 12 and up. It would be a Christmas miracle for them to go to a home together. If adopted individually, Colette will need a home that has another friendly, confident dog, so she can learn that humans can be kind. Both pups are doing well with crate training as they find comfort in their comfy, quiet space. They are also doing well with potty training, but still have some occasional accidents if not taken out routinely. I am so impressed by the process they have made in only the week and a half that I have had them. They will truly bring so much joy to someone who has the patience and understanding that they will just need a bit of time to adjust. Butters and Colette are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed/neutered for a joint adoption fee of $650 or $425 as a single adoption. Please understand that because of their past and size, they are fragile, and we want to choose an adopter who will be best suited for them. Thank you for your interest in rescue! If you are interested in getting approved to meet hopefully both , please complete the application below. They have brought so much joy to our home and I know they will continue to grow and thrive in a loving home. https://form.jotform.com/fairytailsrescuemd/dogpuppy-adoption-application

Adoption Process
Potential adopters start by filling out our adoption application. The completed application is read over and if we have any questions we will contact them accordingly. Next at least two personal and if applicable a vet reference is contacted. Assuming that goes well it is followed by a physical home check. Once that is all completed we setup a meet to adopt where the entire family (including canine members if adopting a dog) come to meet the potential new family member. If the meeting goes well they are fully approved to take their pet home at that time.
