Hi, I'm Samuel, but I answer to Sam on most days. I traveled from Georgia to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on New Year's Eve with a wish to find my furever home this year. I'm not a picky guy, but I would love if this home had an adult lap or two I could claim as my bed. I really enjoy relaxing and napping and being close to my hooman(s), especially when they rub behind my ears. I also like being brushed and going byes in the car with the hooman(s). I don't mind if I share space with other canine or feline friends, as long as there's lap space available for me. I'm completely non-reactive to cats and acclimate well with a variety of other dogs, as long as they don't try to play rough with me. I'd be a perfect pal to take along to work at a nursing home to snuggle the residents or an ideal candidate to stay at home most days and just relax. I got so excited describing my wish for a furever home and family that I forgot to tell you a little about myself...I'm a 7 year old, 14 lb. Jack Russell Terrier mix. I'm neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current with vaccinations and preventatives. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. Saturday, January 21, 2023, PA Caring for K9’s will be at Apple Chevrolet (1200 Loucks Rd York, PA) from 10am-2pm with some of our adoptable dogs! All are invited to meet our dogs, but only pre-approved adopters with all household humans and dogs present will be able to adopt at the event. Adoption Process
$350 for all pups that are spayed and neutered. We don't believe in juvenile altering so the adoption fee for any pup under four months is $400. One the adopted family had altered the pup they send in the certificate and are credited $50. Contract applies as well sat rental check, vet check and three non family references.
