ELTON NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Elton      Best Guess for Breed:   Yorkie and terrier mix Best Guess for Age:  5 years as of June 2025          SEX:    Male   Approximate Weight:  12 lbs 7 oz   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Elton is Looking For: His forever home! This sweetie landed in the shelter due to no fault of his own. He's closed that chapter and is oh so eager to once again have his own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. And snugs! Lots of snuggles! He's way out of the puppy yips and knows what's most important in life - being safe and loved and under his own roof.   In exchange, he promises so many adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Is there a spot for him in your home and your heart? What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update this after he has spent some time in foster care.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
