Name: Toulouse Best Guess for Breed: German shepherd mix Best Guess for Age: 2.5 years as of May 2025 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 58 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: Texas shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get here on May 17! Toulouse is Looking For: This girl is a pretty awesome pup. If you know German shepherds, you know they're smart, loyal (often known as Velcro dogs!) and energetic. Toulouse is ooking for humans who want a smart pup eager for training and tasks. Who will provide structure and intellectual and physical enrichment through world exploration and mental challenges. And most of all, who will show her she's loved and cherished. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application
2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit.
3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
