Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue hundreds of animals every year, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.

LONDON BRIDGE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet London Bridge and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (10/12) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring, MD (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!   Name: London Bridge          Best Guess for Breed:Border Collie/Pointer Mix    Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of September 2025          SEX: Female   Approximate Weight: 37lbs as of 9/14   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at: DC area boarding partner   London Bridge is Looking For: Hi there! I'm London Bridge, or London for short! I'm ready to find my forever home and show my new favorite person how much love I have to give! I have a big heart and an even bigger curiosity of the world. I'm looking for a forever home that's ready for fun adventures, daily walks, and plenty of snuggles afterwards. I love meeting new doggy friends, so a home where I can make furry pals would be a dream. I’m playful, sweet, and sometimes a little silly—I promise to keep life exciting and full of laughs. What My Foster Says About Me: London Bridge is an absolute sweetheart and was such a gem to have in my home. She is affectionate and enjoys snuggle time with her humans. And she loves to play with other dogs - she's a social girl! She was quiet and did well when crated. I think she'll be a fantastic addition to any home. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
