AMINA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Amina and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (04/20) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church, VA (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!       Name:  Amina        Best Guess for Breed: Chihuahua mix with Chinese Crested Best Guess for Age:   2 years as of March 2025     SEX:   Female Approximate Weight:  12 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.   Special adoption considerations:  Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   Amina is Looking For:  Her forever home! This small sweetie is coming all the way from Puerto Rico to find her humans. She knows they're somewhere here and can't wait to meet them. She's got so much on her wish list - sniffy walks by her humans' side, romps in parks, all the adventures they can dream up. And quality kibble and a cushy dog bed - and lots and lots of snuggles and cuddles!Amina may be small but the love in her heart for her humans is enormous. She can't wait to bestow upon her family all the adoring gazes and little tail wags and loving companionship she's storing up for them! What do you say? Can you see her trotting down there by your side? What My Foster Says About Me:   Amina is a blend of high energy and lots of snuggles! She loves to run and is very excited to get out on walks or in the back yard. She’s also such a sweet girl and loves to curl up next to me on the couch. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
